Working on the photo course from twopeasinabucket

Busy girl!  Unfortunately I have little time right now L I can’t get my babies to coordinate naptime anymore so no mom time.  DH is off to the NASCAR race with the two oldest boys man they were looking forward to that.. they are eager to see if they can meet their favorite drivers or most likely ANY driver J

Keep an eye on the blog to see how I’m doing!

On American Idol they always seem to sound better the night they get kicked off than the night they sang to stay?  Do they really sound better or is it just knowing you wont have to hear them again? Ok I’m kidding I’m not that snarky.. I honestly think they are more relaxed and I so wish some of them could be that way the night of voting because I hate seeing people go before you see them shine.. ok back to my DVR it needs attention ;)

Oh Dear

I took my boys to McDonald’s, the mom’s heaven. You take your kids in and if you are lucky to have an older kid (or two in my case) you send them off to the playland they watch the 2 yr old as you stand and order for all. It really is a masterpiece by design.  It’s enclosed, that’s the simplicity of it. We went to a “real’ park yesterday and it was stressful for me as I kept imagining my wild child running off and never being seen again.  At McDonald’s you send them off to a playland with walls and glass for parental viewing… "Bye-bye go play!"  Then you get to stand and wait for your food; if you have never flown solo as a parent of multiple kids you will never realize the peace and quiet standing and waiting for burgers while holding a 4 mo old in a car seat can bring… so I get the food and head off to join the rest. All but the 2 yr old sit down to eat.. lucky for us we have the playland to ourselves so I just let the 2 yr old run wild while everyone else ate.. every now and then he hops over for a drink of milk or a bit of a nugget.. it really was a slice of heaven for the evening.  And as we leave I get back to frustrated mom mode getting the boy train into the car and buckled up.. Zach’s favorite saying of late is “Oh Dear” .. as we are hopping into the car he tries to sit in a “big boy seat” and I yell at him .. he doesn’t move.. I give him the warning to get his fanny in the backseat and in response get “oh dear” as he’s crying and scrambling for the backseat.. it was definitely a “mom means business” scurry.. it left the rest of us in hysterics..

Ok I’m done procrastinating.. I need to get a page done.. titles hurt my head sometimes.. I can come up with cute ones but what teen wants a *cute* title?? I have a page stuck in my head and I just can’t get it down on paper!  I think I need more supplies. . Yeah thats it!

Mouthfulls

Ok I'm the queen of biting off more than I can chew.. sometimes it works out.. sometimes it doesn't! Let's all hope this month it works like a charm.

I'm sure it sounds like I'm playing the blame game but I'm not.. shimelle's site (see links) was killed by some spammers while she went to CHA (which personally I think is just karma kicking her for something as great as CHA something bad is BOUND to happen.. or is that just my life??** JUST KIDDING) At any rate.. I was left promptless and my scrappin mojo DIED. So I started other things to force myself into scrapping since I got this wonderful new ATG Gun (great gadget.. that I got a faulty one :( but called customer service and voila! they are replacing it as we speak I'm just waiting for it in the mail) So, back to the topic.. I have many goals/projects this month. I am a few weeks behind in my weekly scrapbook (scrapping a week review each sunday) and I have an album for a gift I'm working on, some pages I need to copy & send to my dad (from a book on my childhood has my mom who passed away 9.5 years ago in it and I know he'll enjoy it.. ) another project to put in the box with that because my dad's birthday is mid-March.. and now I joined a Double Dutch class with Susan Constansa (ok not sure if I spelled that right but I did just give your class a shout out so we're even ;) ) anyway go to willowtraders.com and look for the double dutch class sign up it's going to be a great scrapbook adrenaline injection.. a sketch a day for a month WOWZA! then I signed up for Barb's blog she's posting a prompt a day for march http://lv2scpbk.blogspot.com/2008/02/finger-puppets.html AND I am determined to catch up with Shimelle's now that shes' back up and running (she's slowly posting the catchup posts that were sent to la-la-land when she was away.. thanks for going slow for us!) AND I picked up a package for a design team call that's due this saturday.. for a LSS AND I'm considering trying out for another online DT call but I just don't know .. that's a lot!!

I hate when life gets in the way of blogging ;)

I did start a yahoogroup. I love yahoogroups I can't even share how many I have belonged to over the years but they are such a great tool for gaining information and support. I started one for scrapbooking inspiration.. I intend to have it set up so every morning you receive a nice little challenge in your inbox and hopefully it will get you doing something. If you are interested in being a founding member and helping join up! it's scrapboost@yahoogroups.com

Gobbledygook

>> Feb 6, 2008

First I highly recommend researching the word I was looking for the proper spelling and found the interesting article on wikipedia on how the word originated.

but it's always been a favorite word of mine just because it's goofy sounding.. though me and my girlfriend from college always did get a good snicker out of "pooh" as well :) so when shimelle's journaling prompt suggested using a favorite word I immediately thought of gobbledygook and then my 2 yr old :) Here's the result:

Journaling reads: The word is gobbledygook. It's what most people hear when you talk. it's even hard for us to understand. It's a language of your own. It's saying "eat corn" rather than "I'm hungry". It's like a secret code. It's one of the those things I'm going to miss when you grow up.

Me time or sleep time?

>> Feb 4, 2008

I'm learning to choose scrapping over sleeping.. not sure that's a good choice but it's a need for me at the moment.

here's my 2/3 journaling from www.shimelle.com (clockwise around pictures):

About Holding Keagan
After you cried when I first said no
During your attempts to quiet him
About the time you tried to shove him off
In the moment you had second thoughts

Ok I really had a hard time with the journaling prompt at shimelle.com today. I am in such a bad mood I can't think of ANYTHING positive to say.. this may take a few days.. LOL all that keeps popping ups is my latest constant conversation with my boys..

You always say "I thought you said to..." but really I KNOW you just weren't listening.

Any mothers who can relate???

Holy Cow I got to scrapbook??

Ok it was midnight and I died the next day from lack of sleep but stil.. I scrapbooked! My goal was to get the journaling done and a LO to go with it the same day.. so I started the LO 2/1 but finished 2/2 just after midnight..

Here's my day two of shimelle's journaling prompts:
Let me tell you about this boy.

This boy knows what 'stop it' means but doesn't do it.
This boy likes chicken nuggets, but not today.
This boy says 'nope' but sometimes it means yes.
This boy loves his brothers, but it has to be his idea.
This boy loves cars, but only cool cars.
This boy wants to draw, but really just wants into mama's scrapbook stuff.
